Can I remove text on the wall for individual artworks?

Yes, you can. Follow the steps below to remove the wall text and buttons for each artwork.

In the ARTWORK EDIT section under ARTWORK INFORMATION select NO to display artwork information on the gallery wall
Under MARKETING, SALES + SOCIAL MEDIA select NO to display buttons on gallery wall.
Remember to SAVE these updated settings.

Yes, there is no limit to the amount of Artwork that can be hung in an exhibition.
For exhibitions containing a large number of works, we suggest you check the time it takes to load and move around your exhibition.
If the loading time is too long or the movement in the gallery is less smooth, remove a few artworks and republish the exhibition.

How many text characters can be added to the artwork details?

The Artist name and artwork title text fields can hold up to 2048 characters including word gaps and line breaks.
The Artwork Edit Notes section can hold up to 3,000 characters including word gaps and line breaks.

What is the optimum resolution and format for artwork image files?

Files should be at least 2048 pixels in the longest dimension. Save in .jpg .png .tiff and gif formats at maximum quality, do not compress. We don’t currently support transparency or gif animation.

For the best results, the images must be cropped, sharply focussed and evenly lit.

Maximum file size 50MB.

How can I colour the sides of a canvas

The sides of a canvas can be coloured separately in an Artwork’s Edit window directly under the Choose Canvas Shape.

How can I show multiple exhibitions at once?

Each subscription can have up to five exhibitions live concurrently. They can be labelled Featured, Current or Past.

How do I set a date for my exhibition to go live?

To set the opening and closing for your exhibition go to the GALLERY MANAGER / PUBLISH.

Can I create a Salon hang?

Yes, go to the GALLERY MANAGER / UPLOAD + PREVIEW / GALLERY PREFERENCES and untick Pin artworks to eyeline. Then artworks are able to be positioned above and below each other, using the grid feature to align them.

Can I add sculpture to my exhibition?

Currently we do not offer the ability to have 3D objects in our space. Alternatively, if you would like to exhibit sculptural or 3D pieces in our galleries, we suggest presenting a picture of the sculpture and placing it on the wall as an artwork, then attaching a video to the artwork that shows a walk around of the piece. We have a media link feature for this, which can be attached to each artwork.

Can I subscribe for just one month?

Yes, you are able to cancel your subscription at any time during your current period.

If you have purchased a monthly subscription it will not renew if it has been cancelled.

Can I change the size of a gallery?

You cannot change the size of our pre made galleries. We can however change the floor or add / remove furniture in any of these galleries as part of our custom gallery service. Please email [email protected] if you would like to know more about this service.

Tips for an optimum viewing experience

If the size of your exhibition is over 100 artworks, some viewers with computers older than 6 years may find it slow to load your exhibition. Closing other memory intensive applications and reducing the number of tabs open in the browser will also help.

Here are some tips for an optimum viewing experience when loading an Exhibbit gallery:

Make sure your browser and operating system are up to date.
Reduce the number of tabs you have open and close other applications.

Will my Subscription Auto-Renew?

Yes, your subscription will auto-renew each month on the same day. You will be notified by email beforehand, giving you the opportunity to cancel.

Can a trial be extended?

Once a trial has expired we are not able to extend it. If you would like to keep the exhibition(s) you were working on during your trial, you are able to subscribe to your trial gallery. This can be done by logging in and clicking the subscribe button next to the galleries you wish to keep.

How can I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription, select the ‘Cancel’ button beside your active gallery or add on. Once the subscription has been cancelled your gallery will stay active until the end of the current period.

You can ‘Cancel’ soon after the subscription has begun (allow 24hours), and still maintain full access to the gallery until the subscription expires.

Do I have to install an app on a mobile?

No, the 2021 release of Exhibbit no longer requires an app to view with.

Does Exhibbit have the capacity to handle a large audience?

Yes. We use a CDN (a content delivery system) that saves downloaded exhibitions onto local servers, resulting in a faster loading time for subsequent downloads within the same area and reduces the load on our main servers.

What width should the Exhibbit window be on my webpage?

The gallery window size is customisable, or you can have it respond to the browser size on desktop.

How can my Instagram followers visit my gallery?

Instagram only allows one link within your profile description. We suggest using the free app Linktree. Insert your Linktree url and have your Exhibbit published link / your embedded gallery link and / or other appropriate links in the Linktree directory. This avoids links opening within Instagram’s own browser which has restrictions that stop Exhibbit’s content from opening directly in Instagram. This app can be installed via linktr.ee

Why can't I see the BUY / INQUIRE and INVITE buttons in preview mode?

You cannot use these features in preview, but they will appear when you view your exhibition via the published link. Remember, the exhibition is still private until the link is shared with others.
